Dear BES Families,

On behalf of the Boyertown Elementary School PTO, we would like to welcome everyone back to school for the 2018 – 2019 school year.  We hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer!  We are excited to get back into the swing of the school year, hold fun events, and fundraise to help support the students and staff at BES.

What is the PTO and who can be a Member?
PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students at BES.  We support the staff and students, help promote student interaction and involvement, and assist in providing funds for school assemblies, supplies, and activities through volunteering and fundraising.  The PTO is made up of elected officers: President – Barb Hunter, Vice-President – Adrienne Landis, Secretary – April Collins, and Treasurer – Kendall Madeja.  A huge part of the PTO includes our wonderful school staff and volunteers like you. So, who can be a member? Are you a parent, guardian, and/or staff member at BES?  If you answered YES, then we would love for you to become a member.  How do you do that?  Visit the website below and signup.  Come to monthly meetings and help out at events.  There is no cost to join, just enthusiasm and a little time!

PTO Programs & Fundraising
Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and benefit the school.  To meet this important objective, we fundraise.  Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: Staff Appreciation, Family Fun Nights, Author visits, Spring Fun Days, Rita’s Water Ice evenings, Walk-a-thon, 5th Grade Recognition, Grandparent’s Day, Basket Raffle, Holiday Shop, and Spiritwear.  We are looking for your ideas and suggestions to help make BES the best school for our students!

Become a Volunteer….Why YOU should get involved!

We are a small group with the BIGGEST intentions. This is where you come in! We need your help, and so do the students. A special thanks to all of our volunteers from last year for all their hard work and dedication. Here at BES, we strive for excellence and what better way than to become involved today. We are in need of your support to continue to make BES the best. We have planned some exciting events this year in hopes to get more parents involved in their children’s education.  The PTO is a team effort in which we cannot succeed on our own.  We hope to see your smiling face at many of our events!
